# What job status means

> The status chip on the job list and on the job.

The same chip shows on the Jobs list and on the job.

| Status             | What it means                                        |
| ------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| Draft              | The job exists and is not on the schedule yet.       |
| Scheduled          | A visit has a time.                                  |
| In Progress        | Work is underway.                                    |
| On hold            | Work is paused.                                      |
| Requires Invoicing | The work is ready to bill. Click **Create invoice**. |
| Completed          | The job is closed.                                   |
| Cancelled          | The job will not be done.                            |

  Visit status is separate. A visit can be traveling or on site while the job status stays **In Progress**. Recurring work uses a service plan (**draft**, **active**, **paused**, **completed**, **cancelled**), which is not the same chip as a one-off job.
