# Life of a job

> Customer, estimate, job, visit, invoice.

| Step     | Where                    | What you click                                                                        |
| -------- | ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Customer | **Customers**            | **New customer** or **Import**                                                        |
| Price    | **Estimates**            | **New estimate**, then **Send**                                                       |
| Won      | The estimate             | **Convert to job** after it is approved, or **Mark approved** if they agreed by phone |
| Booked   | The job, or **Schedule** | **Assign team**, then **Add visit** or **Find a Time**                                |
| On site  | The visit                | **Start**, then **Finish visit**                                                      |
| Billed   | The job                  | **Create invoice**, then send it                                                      |
| Paid     | The invoice              | Customer pays in Client Hub, after **Jomioz Payments** is ready                       |

The job is the work. The visit is one appointment on that job. One job can have several visits.

Closing the job is **Close job**. If it still needs a bill, the status is **Requires Invoicing**. After the invoice is done, the status can be **Completed**.
