# Invoice the job

> Create the invoice from the job, send it, and collect payment.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create the invoice from the job">
    On the job, click **Create invoice**. That is the normal path after the work is done. You can also open **Invoices** and click **New invoice** to bill one job, combine several jobs for the same customer, or bill without a job.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send it">
    On the invoice, **Save & send** emails it. **Save draft** keeps it without sending. The send stays off until the readiness rows are clear: a customer, a priced line, an email, a payment method, and the company tax details for your country. The full list is [How to send an invoice](/help/invoice-send). The customer opens it in Client Hub.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Take a card payment">
    The pay button on the invoice works after **Settings → Jomioz Payments** shows **Ready to accept payments**. If you still see **Complete setup**, finish that first. See [Take card payments](/integrations/stripe).
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  To copy the invoice into Xero, the plan must be Growth or Pro, Xero must be connected, and account mapping must be saved. Then use **Send to Xero** on the invoice. See [Connect Xero](/integrations/xero).
