# Getting started with Jomioz

> The shortest path from a new account to a sent estimate and a paid invoice.

Do these in order. The same four setup items are in the app under **Setup**, on **Launch today**. Each one has **Skip** if you want to come back.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create the workspace">
    Open [Get started](https://app.jomioz.com/get-started). The trial is 14 days and does not ask for a card. You get an example customer that uses your email, and an example estimate in your inbox. The schedule stays empty. Details are in [Create an account](/getting-started/create-account).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Finish Setup">
    In the left sidebar, open **Setup**. Do the four items, in order:

    1. **Your company** — **Add company details**. Name, address, and phone print on estimates and invoices.
    2. **Tax details** — **Add tax details**. Some countries block the first invoice until this is saved.
    3. **How you get paid** — **Add bank details** or **Set up card payments**. Either one is enough. Bank details print on the invoice and do not need a card account.
    4. **Your hours** — **Set your hours**. Find a Time only offers slots inside these hours.

    The clicks are in [Set up the company](/getting-started/set-up). Card payments, if you choose them, are in [Connect payments](/getting-started/connect).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send one estimate">
    Open the example estimate and click **Send** if you want to see the email and Client Hub first. It goes to your own inbox.

    For a real customer, click **Customers → New customer**. Save a name, an email, and the job address. Then **Estimates → New estimate**, type a priced line (a price book can wait), and click **Send**. See [Create the job](/first-job/create).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Turn it into a job and book a visit">
    If they accept in Client Hub, the status updates on its own. If they say yes by phone, click **Mark approved**. Then **Convert to job**.

    On the job, open **Schedule** and click **Add visit**. If it is only you, you do not need to invite anyone. See [Schedule the visit](/first-job/schedule).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Invoice it">
    On the job, click **Create invoice**, then **Save & send**. Send stays off until there is a customer, a priced line, an email, and a payment method. See [Invoice the job](/first-job/invoice).
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Leave these until the first job is done

| Later | Why it can wait |
| ------------------------------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| [Staff logins](/getting-started/staff) | A solo account can send and schedule. Invites need an active subscription. |
| [Price book and templates](/getting-started/templates) | Type the price on the estimate for now. Save it in the price book when you will use it again. |
| [Xero](/integrations/xero) | Growth or Pro, and only after an invoice exists to copy across. |
| Service area | Optional. Skip it if you cover a wide area. |

When you are ready to hide the example customer and estimate, use [Clear the sample](/go-live/clear-practice-work).
