# Price book and templates

> Saved prices and job templates. Type the first price on the estimate instead.

You do not need a price book to send the first estimate. Type the line and the price on the estimate. Come back here when you will use that price again.

  <Step title="Save prices you use often">
    In the main left sidebar, open **Price book**. Add the labour and materials you put on estimates. To bring a catalog in from a file, use **Settings → Price book import & export**.

  <Step title="Job templates">
    Open **Settings → Jobs → Templates** when you want a starting shape for repeat work.
  </Step>

  <Step title="How customer emails look">
    Open **Settings → Email appearance**. The business name and logo from **Settings → Company** are what customers see on the documents.

  <Step title="Estimate and invoice defaults">
    Open **Settings → Estimates** for follow-up reminders, and **Settings → Invoices** for payment reminders.
