# How to change schedule hours and weekends

> Business hours, weekends, and how tall each slot is.

Two different things control the schedule. One is when work can be offered. The other is how the board is drawn.

## When slots can be offered

**Settings → Company → Business hours** is the open days and times. Find a Time, public booking on a request form, and a customer asking to move a visit all stay inside those hours. A day with no open hours offers no slots.

That does not redraw the clock labels on the board. It decides which times are valid.

## How the board looks

On **Schedule**, open **Options**.

**Day**, **Week**, and **Month** switch the range. **Today** jumps back. **Jump to date** opens a specific day.

Route planning, when it is on for your workspace, adds **Optimize route** and allows all-day visits. All-day visits are switched on under [Job settings](/settings/jobs).

## What each switch is for

**Show weekends** off hides Saturday and Sunday on week and month. Work already booked on those days is not deleted. Turn weekends back on to see it. The same switch lives under **Settings → Schedule → Calendar**, so the board and the setting stay in step.

**Slot density** only changes day and week. Month view says to switch to day or week if you want to change how tall each slot is. A taller slot (15m) makes short visits easier to grab. 1h fits more of the day on screen.

**Overdue only** filters to visits whose scheduled end is in the past and that are still open. It does not change their status. Clear it to see the rest of the board again.

**Show on schedule** hides visits, tasks, events, or time off from the drawing. The records stay. A hidden task is still on [Tasks & events](/help/schedule-tasks). Hidden time off is still a request.

**Appointment layout** and **Completed styling** are under **Settings → Schedule**, not on the day board. Stacked layout makes gaps easier to see. Nested layout makes titles easier to read. Strikethrough keeps finished-visit colours. Grey out fades them so overdue work stands out.

**Optimize route** is on Pro. It picks a person and a date, shows which visits can be reordered, previews the drive, and applies the new order. It reorders visits that are already booked. On a lower plan the control says it is included on Pro.

Find a Time will not offer a start outside **Settings → Company → Business hours**, even if the board still draws those hours. If the board looks open and Find a Time says the business is closed that day, the hours in Company are the ones to change. See [Find a Time](/help/schedule-find-time).
