# Rules for your country

> Tax names, credit-note titles, and the extra checks that only apply to the country on your company.

The rest of these guides use the same buttons for every business. Jomioz follows the country on **Settings → Company**. Open that country here for the names and checks that differ.

If your country is not listed, the shared guides are the whole path. The PDF title on a correction is **Credit note**.

A correction is a **credit note**. The button on the invoice is still **Create credit note**.

Late fees, payment plans, and write-offs follow the shared guides. A write-off closes the balance in Jomioz. It does not start a separate tax-recovery flow.

**Electronic invoicing** under [Connections](/settings/connections) appears only when that reporting is available for this workspace.

Signup asks for the region, because the tax differs. Mainland Spain and the Balearics use IVA. The Canary Islands use IGIC. Ceuta and Melilla use IPSI. The region is taken from the registered address. Override it only for Ceuta, Melilla, or the Basque Country. Fiscal invoices cannot be issued from Jomioz for an entity registered only in the Basque Country or Navarra.

    ## Before the first invoice

Sending is blocked until the tax profile is confirmed. Open **Settings → Company → Tax**, or **Confirm tax profile** on the setup checklist.

A business invoice needs the customer’s NIF or NIE. The warning is **Customer tax ID required**, and the button is **Add NIF**. The readiness row is **Fiscal details verified**.

**Subject to IRPF** is for autónomos. Withholding applies on business-to-business service invoices. You enter the rate, often 15%, or 7% in the first years. On an invoice, **IRPF withholding recommended** can offer **Enable IRPF**. That is a suggestion. It does not choose a rate for you.

**Simplified invoice** is the shorter format where local rules allow it, such as a smaller retail sale. **Full invoice** is the usual job invoice.

    ## Credit notes and bad debt

**Create credit note** is the button. The PDF title is **Factura rectificativa**. The screen also calls this a corrective invoice.

**Corrective reason** is required. The list is the statutory codes, such as taxable base, tax rate, recipient, and unpaid. **Additional reason** is optional text.

**Recover Spanish VAT…** on a bad debt is separate from **Internal write-off only**. The write-off closes the balance in Jomioz and does not file a return. The recovery flow checks eligibility, asks for evidence, previews the amount, then registers a rectificativa and tracks delivery and Modelo 952. The steps on screen are eligibility facts, evidence, recovery preview, irreversible confirmation, provider registration, rectificative delivery, and Modelo 952. Jomioz decides whether the invoice qualifies. Evidence needs at least one file, including one labeled **Collection claim**. Each file must be 25 MB or smaller.

    ## Plans, fees, and reporting

A payment plan is still one invoice. Verifactu registers that document, not a separate invoice per installment.

**Apply late fees automatically** does not run on a Spanish fiscal invoice. Add that charge by hand if you need it.

An estimate payment schedule must add up to the package payable, including tax, recargo, and IRPF when they apply.

**Settings → Time tracking → Quick setup** includes **Spain — registro laboral** for a Spanish company. It turns on meal breaks, the worker time log, self-export CSV, submit confirmation, correction requests, the tax ID on the payroll export, an 8-hour daily threshold, and 4-year retention.

**Electronic invoicing** is the Verifactu card under [Connections](/settings/connections). It needs a legal entity. Company tax is still required before an invoice can be sent, whether or not that card is active.
