# Your account

> Language, password, two-step verification, and staff alerts.

These pages are about you, not the whole company. Customer emails are under [Customers and messaging](/settings/messaging).

## Personal settings

**Settings → Personal settings** sets the **dashboard language** (English, Spanish, or French). That changes menus and settings for your login only. It does not change customer emails, PDFs, or AI-written estimates.

## Security

**Settings → Security**.

* **Change password** if you signed up with email. If you only use Google or Apple, use that provider to sign in. **Forgot password?** is also on the sign-in page.
* **Two-step verification** asks for a code from an authenticator app after your password. Turning it on shows backup codes. Keep them. You can turn it off or generate new codes from this page.
* Linked sign-in methods (email, Google, Apple) are listed here so you can see how this account logs in.

## Notifications

**Settings → Notifications** is staff alerts only. It does not email the customer.

Each row is one kind of alert. **Edit** chooses how it is delivered: in the app, in the browser, or as a push. Turning a channel on does not choose who receives it.

| Alert | Who gets it |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Job or visit | People assigned on that job or visit |
| Office-wide | Active members whose role has office-wide alerts under **Team → Roles** |
| Estimate staff alerts | Follow that alert’s rule, often office-wide roles. This is not the estimate the customer receives |

Deactivated people are not notified, even if their old role allowed office-wide alerts.
