# Field work

> What an engineer must capture on site before a visit can be finished.

Open **Settings → Field work**. These rules apply to every visit. The app enforces them when someone finishes the visit. They are not a reminder you can skip.

The card is **On-site visit capture**: before photos when they arrive, after photos when they are done, then customer sign-off before finishing.

## Photo documentation

| Choice                                                  | Effect                                                                                                             |

| Off — hide photo capture on visits                      | No photo step                                                                                                      |
| Optional — show before/after capture without blocking   | They can add before and after photos. Finish still works without them                                              |
| Required — minimum photo count at finish                | **Finish** is blocked until they have at least the **Minimum photos** (1 to 20)                                    |
| Required — before when you start, after when you finish | They need a before set when the visit starts and an after set when it finishes. Finish is blocked until both exist |

**Minimum photos** only appears on the minimum-count option. It is how many visit photos are required before finishing.

## Customer sign-off

This is the signature after the work is done.

| Off — hide sign-off on visits                            | No sign-off step                                            |
| Optional — show sign-off after work, do not block finish | They can collect a signature. Finish still works without it |
| Required — customer signs when the work is done          | Finish is blocked until the customer has signed             |

## Before-work authorization

This is a signature before the work starts.

| Optional — soft reminder at start, do not block finish          | They see a reminder when the visit starts. Finish still works if it was skipped       |
| Required — soft reminder at start; blocks finish until captured | They are reminded at the start. Finish is blocked until the authorization is captured |
