You do not need a price book to send the first estimate. Type the line and the price on the estimate. Come back here when you will use that price again.

Save prices you use often

In the main left sidebar, open Price book. Add the labour and materials you put on estimates. To bring a catalog in from a file, use Settings → Price book import & export.

Job templates

Open Settings → Jobs → Templates when you want a starting shape for repeat work.

How customer emails look

Open Settings → Email appearance. The business name and logo from Settings → Company are what customers see on the documents.

Estimate and invoice defaults

Open Settings → Estimates for follow-up reminders, and Settings → Invoices for payment reminders.
