Open Customers in the left sidebar. The list is the hub for contacts, sites, and follow-up. Signup already added an example customer that uses your email. Archive that row when you no longer need the sample.

Add one customer

Click New customer. Save a name, an email, and the address where the work happens. The schedule uses that address. On Edit customer you can also set: Residential and Business are the two segments on the list. A business invoice can stay blocked until the tax ID is on the customer. Which ID, and when, is in Rules for your country.

Import a spreadsheet

Click Import. Download the template, fill one customer per row, and upload it. Each row needs a name, an email, and a full address: street, city, state or region, and postcode. Match is on the email. Choose whether to leave an existing customer as-is or update them. Export CSV downloads the list you are looking at.

Find someone

Search matches name, company, phone, email, tax ID, and address. Filters has four controls: Click the Customer or Last activity column header to sort. There is no Created date sort. Created is the date filter above.

On the customer

The header shows the contact, Outstanding balance, and Next visit. Create starts a Job, an Estimate, an Invoice, or a Service plan when your plan includes recurring work. Email client writes to a saved address. More options → Edit customer changes the profile. The sections on the record, in this order:

Addresses

Add address on Addresses. Site notes and a default tax rate can sit on that address. Set as primary is the address new work uses. Set as billing is the address invoices use. Archiving an address hides it from new jobs. Records that already use it keep the old address.

Contacts

Add contact for accounts payable, the person on site, or a second decision-maker. Primary contact is who dispatch and billing call first. Billing contact is the person the bill is aimed at. Deleting a contact removes that person from this customer. It does not delete the customer.

Balance and statement

Outstanding balance in the header means they still owe something. Open the invoice, or send a reminder from that strip. Download statement and Email statement send a PDF of open invoices and amounts due. The statement is not a new invoice. Request card on file (the money row, or More options) asks them to save a card for later. That needs Jomioz Payments ready.

Archive, delete, and merge

More options → Archive customer hides them from the active list. Restore customer is on the same menu when you open them from Filters → Archived only. The list action is Restore. Delete customer is permanent. The dialog says it removes their notes, contacts, and properties. It is refused when they have jobs, estimates, invoices, payments, or a saved card. The title is This customer cannot be deleted, and the next step is Archive instead. If any selected row is blocked, Delete stays off for the whole selection: Some selected customers have jobs, estimates, invoices, payments, or a saved card. Deselect those, or archive them instead. It does not skip the blocked rows and delete the rest. Merge keeps one customer and moves the other’s jobs, estimates, invoices, addresses, notes, messages, and payments onto the one you keep. Duplicate addresses are combined. Confirm which row is Keep this customer before you merge. The other record is removed. Do not delete a customer that has a payment.
