1
Open the visit
From Schedule, or from the job’s Schedule tab, open the visit.
2
Tell the customer you are travelling
On my way emails them, or Quiet records the travel without a message. Update ETA sends a new arrival time the same way. These only send when that message is set up under Job settings → Visit messages.
3
Start
Click Start. Confirm Mark this visit as in progress? The job status moves to In progress. The visit can be travelling or on site while the job stays in progress.
4
Capture what the visit requires
Photos, customer sign-off, and before-work authorization follow Field work. A required checklist must be complete or Finish visit is blocked. Photos and PDFs also sit on the job’s Files tab. Office notes sit on Notes.
5
Finish the visit
Click Finish visit. If a form is still open, complete that checklist first. Mark complete on the schedule list sends you to the visit page for the same reason: the checklist, time, and signature have to be recorded there.
6
Close the job
When the work is done, click Close job. Confirm Close job. Fieldwork is marked complete and the job moves toward billing. If visits are still open, closing finishes any visit in progress and drops the rest. Turn on Notify customer in that dialog if they should get a completion message.
Why Finish visit stays off
Wrap up with customer lists what is left. Typical rows:
Leave incomplete closes the wrap-up without finishing. Finish visit is the button once those rows are clear.
Work added on the visit that was not on the estimate shows Add work / change order. Send it or record that they agreed on site before you treat it as part of the price. See Change orders.
