Open the estimate and click Edit. The lines live under Estimate & line items. A normal estimate is one package. The badge says Simple estimate. Open the options menu on that section. The heading is Layout & advanced options.

Multiple packages

Turn on Multiple packages. The hint is Good / Better / Best — customer picks one. Each package is its own price. The customer picks one whole package. They do not mix lines from different packages. Click Add package, name it (for example Standard and Premium), and put that tier’s lines in it. Duplicate package copies one. Remove package needs at least one package left. Package totals compares them. The line Deposit and payment schedule use “…” is the package those amounts are calculated from. Select another package total to change that. Customer can combine packages lets them accept more than one. Those packages become one job and one invoice. Leave it off when they should pick a single tier. The workspace default is Customer can approve under Estimate settings: Only one option or Multiple options. This estimate can override that. A discount on the estimate is not applied when there is more than one package. Put the price you want on each package, or turn multiple packages off. Turning it off asks Keep only the first package? Keep first package only drops the other packages. Tax still applies to every package.

Line alternatives

Line alternatives is separate from packages. The hint is Pick one — this or that line. Use it when the customer should choose one of several lines inside a package, such as a bronze finish or a gold finish.

Turn it on

In Layout & advanced options, turn on Line alternatives.

Start the group

On the first line, open Pick one and click Start pick-one group.

Add the other choice

Add the next line. Open Pick one on that line and click Join pick-one group. Linked lines show Linked: customer picks one of … lines.
The first row in the group is the default total in your preview. Drag rows to reorder. A group with only one line says to use Pick one on another line to join it. Leave pick-one group takes a line out. Turning Line alternatives off asks Remove all pick-one links? Remove links and simplify makes every line a normal line, and the total includes all of them.

Optional add-ons and internal costs

On a line, Mark as optional add-on keeps it out of the default total. The customer can opt in before they accept. Remove optional add-on puts it back in the price. Optional lines sit under Optional add-ons. Mark as internal cost hides that line from the customer. It is never billed. Use it for materials or labor you need to track. Show to customer puts it back on the estimate. After they accept, convert the estimate. The job and the invoice use the package and the lines they chose.
