Show the register
Show equipment register adds a due list, an Equipment section on the customer, and faults on visits. While it is off, the Equipment page says the register is off and offers Turn on & set up types. With it on:Types and intervals
A type is a kind of kit (boiler, extinguisher, split system) and the checks that apply to it. Start from country list (or Set up types) adds the usual types and intervals for your country pack. Pick the ones you actually work on. Types already in your catalog are marked Already added. Your later edits are kept if you check the pack again. The pack states its own support level next to that offer:
Those figures are a starting point. A contract can require something stricter. Open Intervals on a type and set Every (months). Saving recalculates due dates. Some intervals are Computed from each unit (refrigerant charge, inspection class) and have no single number on the type.
New type is for kit the country list does not cover. Name it, pick a Trade or No trade, choose which details the add-equipment form should ask for, and add Recurring checks. A check can name a form. Completing that form on a visit is what advances the due date. No form means an engineer marking the unit serviced is enough. A type with no checks is only a record. It never shows as due.
Archive this type? keeps it on equipment you already have. You cannot pick it for anything new.
