1
Open it
On Schedule, click Find a Time. You can also use Find open times or Find better time on a visit that already exists.
2
Say who and where
Pick the customer and the service address. Missing location means that customer has no service address yet. Add one, then search again.
3
Set the window
Set the dates and the duration. Click Find time.
4
Book a slot
Click Schedule this time on the slot you want. The visit is created and shows on the board.
Narrow the search
Find time runs the search. A slot can show Suggested member, estimated travel, and a label such as Soonest, Least driving, or Only one free. Schedule this time books the one you picked. On a job that already exists, the button is Add visit to job. Next available looks ahead about 30 days for this customer and duration.
Save defaults keeps the window and preferences for the next search.
When nothing comes back
No available slots has a reason. Read it before you only widen the dates.
Warnings on a slot that did match, such as Outside hours, Travel uncertain, or Flexible hold, mean you can still book it. They are not the same as an empty list.
What counts as free is set under Settings → Schedule → Find a time: Suggest times… (Every 15 minutes, Every 30 minutes, or Every hour), Between back-to-back visits, Farthest drive we will offer, and Gap between jobs. Smarter assignment ranks by skills, fairness, travel, and route fit, and Default max visits per person per day can cap the day. When it is off, the dialog says Simple availability ordering and ranking uses basic availability. Business hours still come from Settings → Company. A slot outside those hours is not offered.
Moving a visit that is already booked uses Find better time, then Move here. See How to move a visit.
